2018 Ann Albert Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay
Winemaker Eric Johnson set out to make his Bien Nacido vineyard Chardonnay inspired by the great wines of Chablis. One taste and you’ll quickly realize he was up to the challenge! Bien Nacido is one of California’s most important vineyards, a launch pad for many of the state’s finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs. The vineyard’s cool climate reveals itself in the wine’s piercing platinum color and again with its vibrant aromas of stone fruit, citrus zest, and mineral. Deeper flavors of pear and green apple grace the palate, buttressed by a fresh and lively acidity. A classy Chardonnay with great freshness and vibrancy.
